what is Artificial intelligence (AI)?

            what is  Artificial intelligence (AI)?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a wide-ranging branch of computer science concerned with building smart machines capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. While AI is an interdisciplinary science with multiple approaches, advancements in machine learning and deep learning, in particular, are creating a paradigm shift in virtually every sector of the tech industry. It can change the  world . American computer scientist John McCarthy coined the term artificial intelligence back in 1956.

4 type of   Artificial intelligence (AI)?

    Reactive machines

Reactive machines-Reactive AI algorithms only run on current data and have limited capabilities. This type of AI has no specific functional memory, which means that previous experiences cannot be used to inform its current and future actions.

A reactive machine doesn’t rely on an internal concept of the world. Instead, it perceives the world directly and acts on what it sees.

   Limited memory machines

Limited memory refers to the AI's ability to store previous data and use it to make better predictions Limited memory AI refers to a class of machine learning models that derive previously acquired information, historical data, or knowledge from past events. In contrast to reactive machines that only work in the present moment, limited memory AI has a remarkable ability to learn from its past experiences.

When there is not enough storage space to hold enormous datasets or when the data is continually changing, these techniques are especially helpful. They have been utilized in many different applications, including speech recognition, recommendation systems, and fraud detection.

   Theory of mind machines

This is currently the third level of AI and understands the needs of other intelligent entities. Machines aim to have the capability to understand and remember other entities’ emotions and needs and adjust their behavior based on these. This capability is like humans in social interaction.

Theory of Mind AI will require more extensive development in current AI branches to understand human intelligence truly. For example, it could build a neural network. However, a neural network for Theory of Mind AI will have key differences compared to current neural networks used in Limited Memory AI.

  Self-aware machines

This is the last level of AI, where machines have human-like intelligence and self-awareness. Machines will be able to be aware of others’ emotions, mental states, and their own. At this point, machines will have the same human-level consciousness and human intelligence.

that can form representations about itself and its environment, and use them to make decisions and actions. It is the final and most advanced stage of AI development, according to some researchers.

  Examples of Artificial intelligence (AI)?

Google Translate ,Netflix, Face ID, text editor and autocorrect these are some examples of AI.

Google Translate- It's not like an English-to-few-other-language dictionary that contains words of a language and their associated translations. Instead, Google Translate takes the word or phrase you type and searches the internet for the best translation from the billions of expertly translated documents out there. Almost instantly, it gives you that search result.

Netflix-  Netflix is a subscription-based streaming service that allows our members to watch TV shows and movies on an internet-connected device.

Face ID-  Face ID is a facial recognition system first introduced on the iPhone X in 2017. On iPhones without a Home button, Face ID replaced Touch ID as a form of biometric security. Face ID first appeared in iPads with the third-generation iPad Pro in 2018. Your Face ID information is stored encrypted on your device and is not accessible by Apple or any other company.

text editor and autocorrect-
what is text editor?
A text editor is a software application that creates and edits plain text files. In addition to simply typing text directly, they can cut, copy, and paste text from other sources and quickly find and replace text within a file.

What is autocorrect?
Autocorrect is a word processing feature that identifies misspelled words, and uses  algorithms.
